Put in your own starting amount
and watch what happens over 20 rounds.
Because sometimes you can explain something
seventeen different ways…
and then they SEE it and go,
“OOOOOOOH.” 😂
Go to school.
Get a job.
Work hard.
Earn money.
Pay bills.
Repeat.
How growth can build on growth.
How businesses use systems, capital, and reinvestment.
How investors evaluate opportunities.
How small decisions can build on each other over time.
And how money can be treated as a TOOL instead of only something we earn and spend.
THAT is the conversation I want our kids having earlier than we did.
I break compounding down in normal-human language. 😂
Not because the math does not matter. It does.
But I want them to understand the IDEA, not just survive a worksheet.
Understand what happens when growth is added to a total and the new total becomes the starting point for the next round.
Walk through a simple hypothetical 5% example so the concept becomes something they can actually follow.
See why repeated growth can look very different from looking at only one round.
Talk about people, systems, capital, reinvestment, and why growth is often bigger than simply earning a paycheck.
Because I want them asking: “What job is this dollar doing?” instead of automatically thinking money exists only to be spent.
Learn to ask questions, evaluate information, think about risk, and understand a decision before simply following somebody else.
In the lesson, we use a pretend starting amount and a simple 5% hypothetical growth example.
The important part is not memorizing a percentage.
It is understanding that the new total becomes the starting point.
Then we keep going.
Round after round.
Until they can SEE why people say: growth can build on growth.
Important: the 5% example is hypothetical math used only to teach the concept of compounding. It is not an expected investment return, trading result, or promise of financial performance.
Because I do not want them memorizing “compounding is growth on growth” and forgetting it tomorrow.
I want them to WORK IT OUT.
Because when your teen can teach the idea
back to you?
NOW we’re learning. 🙌🏽
The math matters.
But the bigger conversation matters more.
Those are DIFFERENT questions.
And the earlier our kids learn to ask them, the better.
I do not want our teens growing up believing the goal of life is to chase money.
It isn’t.
Money is a tool.
And when you understand the tool, you can make more informed decisions about how you use it.
That understanding can shape the decisions you make around:
And for our family, stewardship is part of that conversation.
Trading is one financial skill. Stewardship is the bigger conversation.
Who keeps thinking, “I want my kids to understand money earlier than I did.”
Who wants real-world financial education to be part of what their children learn.
Who did what they were taught to do and is now realizing there were entire financial conversations they were never exposed to.
Who wants conversations about money to include wisdom, stewardship, discipline, responsibility, and purpose— not just getting rich.
You do not need an entire finance class to start talking to your teen about money.
Start with one lesson.
One idea.
One conversation that makes them stop and say:
“WAIT… I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT MONEY LIKE THAT.”
Download it.
Print it.
Sit down together.
Let them complete the challenge.
Then ask them to teach it back to you.
You might be surprised by the conversation that comes next. 😂
AND PARENTS…THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING
That is one of the reasons I teach what I teach.
One Hour to Freedom is structured day-trading education for adults who want to develop another financial skill with structure, discipline, risk awareness, and independent decision-making.
I teach you what to look for.
How to think through criteria.
How to consider risk before money moves.
And how to make your own informed decisions.
📌 When this happens, buy.
📌 When this happens, sell.
📌 When the criteria are not there, leave it ALONE. 😂
I teach the framework. YOU make the decision.
One focused hour describes the educational framework— not a guaranteed result, income level, or trading outcome.
